The Opportunity

The Technical Producer/Director oversees all aspects of Digital Arts production, ensuring seamless support for Banff Centre programs requiring video, audio and digital production, while delivering high-quality content for Marketing and Communications. This role leads the planning, execution, and delivery of a wide range of digital arts projects, including video production, animation/VFX, audio/ video post-production, live streaming, multi-camera productions, professional music recording, XR, gaming, virtual production, performance capture, AI generated content and other emerging technologies.

The Technical Producer/Director provides creative and technical leadership to ensure the highest production standards across all digital arts initiatives. The role supervises creative and logistic requirements, provides creative direction to post-production teams, and serves as video director/producer when required.

The Technical Director/Producer collaborates with marketing, programming teams and all Banff Centre divisions to define and achieve digital/media production objectives. Additionally, this role is accountable for developing annual resource plans and budgets during program planning cycles ensuring accurate forecasting for equipment, facilities, crews and project costs; and is responsible for day-to-day and annual planning, scheduling and conflict identification of Digital Arts and production resources. This role also contributes to the evolution of the department as it develops under the new strategic plan.
