The Baby Ghosts Studio Development Fund and the University of Waterloo are looking for two Consultants for Longplay: Cultivating Economically Sustainable Game Studios in Canada. This research project studies the efficacy of incubator, accelerator, and mentorship programs (i.e. support hubs) in cultivating economically sustainable studio structures in the Canadian videogame industry.
Consultants would review a 8000-10000 word white paper and provide feedback on its content and findings. We are looking for experts in one or more of the following areas: the Canadian game industry; videogame incubators, accelerators, and mentorship programs; entrepreneurship; diversity, equity, and inclusion in the media industry. We would provide you with a draft of the white paper by mid-to-late August and we would ideally receive your feedback within two weeks.
Some comparable projects include That's My Jam! and If You Don't Like the Game, Change the Rules. All work will be completed virtually. We are seeking a IBPOC collaborator for this project.
