Lauren Malka Avinoam

Lauren Malka Avinoam is a US based, Canadian born filmmaker of mixed MENA descent. She’s an accomplished veteran Producer of feature films and documentaries that have been exhibited and won awards at festivals from SXSW to Tribeca to Outfest and have garnered positive reviews in THR, Variety and the LA & NY Times; all her films have been acquired and distributed internationally. As a Producer she has been a passionate advocate and supporter of new and diverse filmmakers that were elevating stories that had universal appeal. She has several TV projects in development with Academy Award winners, Peabody Award winners and Tony nominated artists. She is currently producing the upcoming documentary RISE about the US’s first climate refugees. She is a mother, a team builder, a creative force and a curator of compelling, timely and relevant projects. She speaks English, French and Hebrew. She is a green card holder in the USA where she lives with her family and where she has built her career over the last decade and her home country of Canada where her career began in short films and festival strategy / consulting at OUAT Media.
