TESTIMONIALS
I’d gladly recommend these workshops to any and all BIPOC / marginalized artists at any phase in their career whether it’d be emerging, mid level or firmly established. I found the Acting Workshop with Roseanne Supernault to be the “kick in the pants” I needed to commit to my artistic practice and leap more fearlessly into my chosen craft and beyond. The class was conducted in an intimate space, where I felt protected and safe. A place where I can share my prior experiences without judgement or censor. I felt encouraged and allowed to play, which is one of the foundations of acting I needed reminding of. Supernault gave the best critique, guiding and helping me pinpoint where I needed to be, moment to moment, during our scene work. I was inspired and in awe of how she had us students in an immersive environment that worked so well with each other as students, as partners in scene work, and a taste of how to work with a director.
The Creatives Empowered Acting for Professional Film & Television Workshop was a wonderful dive into the skills and mindset that current and upcoming actors need to thrive in the industry. I felt happy, honoured and inspired to be in the company of amazing talent and to learn from them. As a beginner, this workshop exposed me to the beautiful craft that is acting and reassured me that I want to keep exploring this path. As a Woman of Colour, I’m very grateful for the work that Creatives Empowered does to provide more opportunities and education to BIPOC folks like me. Thank you again for the opportunity.
